My name is Pedro Mercado, a budding artist who resides in Richardson, TX. Born in the early 70's in Puerto Rico my family immigrated to the United States in search of better work. Born September 28th I am your prototypical Libra. I need balance. My father was a music teacher at a small high school in Puerto Rico so I was exposed to the arts from a very young age. I knew then, at a very early age that there was much more to this  physical world-this visible world that we live in. I flocked to books, music, art... and had a passion for taking pictures with my parents old 110mm camera. I think I took more pictures than I developed. A budding artist not knowing any better just thinking that he liked looking at the world through his own lens.

High school was what it is a fashion show. Showing off the latest threads, walking around as a big ole jock. I still was not happy inside. I felt like I had very few people around me that had the depth that I had. I think many of my closest friends were the same way. I found out much later that they were probably as deep as I. Maybe at that age we don't know how to internalize it all. Maybe we just did not have the faculties to see things openly.

Now here I sit years later, the typical disillusioned artist- Studied Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs at college and learned to be angry at the way we act in the world. Learned anger and angst at the "System" for working against people like me, and you or whoever, Just seems that by being pissed at something it gives you drive. So here is a former Marine Marine Grunt, former Bank Manager, Investment advisor, former everything- former good looks- former family... Yeah I got divorced have a beautiful ex and son who I care about deeply- but things are not all bad. I have a beautiful fianc�e that is very affectionate and supportive through all my pangs. So where do we go from here, early 30's and where do we go? Well I guess I can decide to live. Live through life.

So for all the sappy picking up chicks stuff- I am the #1 most criminally-overlooked warm potato in the whole wide world, and am therefore predisposed for good conversation. Also, I have a foolproof method for picking winning lottery numbers, and even though I usually charge people for this information, I would whisper it to you for nothing...as long as we can get undressed first LOL. (I promise I will behave like a gentleman...)Besides all of that, I am smart and fun and have a wicked, dirty mind. And, they tell me I'm cute and huggable and smell mountain fresh. I am definitely well-read, have seen tons of good foreign movies, and know lots of useless things that make people laugh. Plus, I'm good with a razor and lotion, and like drawing on skin. And though, yes, I have a cynical streak a mile wide, I'm not averse to someone changing my mind. And I have nice black shoes and a really bad haircut...oh wait, that last one's not a good reason. Anyway, just come on and dive in and be shocked and amazed... Did I mention I've got a time machine under my bed? Well, I do, and like to take trips to the seedier parts of history...and you can come along too, if you want.
